Kombis & Classics
On the October Long Weekend, Kombis and Classics from near and far gather at Old Bar to be part of our iconic events.
The Kombi cruise is held on the Saturday afternoon of the Festival.
Kombis, and VW’s assemble on the Old Bar Air Strip ready to cruise along Old Bar Road to the highway roundabout and back. A crowd favourite every year, the main street of Old Bar is lined with spectators to cheer on the VW’s. The cruise takes about 45 minutes and is fantastic to be a part of.
Kombi Record Display
n Sunday, Kombis and VW’s gather at Old Bar to break the Australian record. Come down and see our record-breaking display of unique and treasured Kombis. If you’ve got a Kombi, you are welcome to display it on Saturday alongside the Classics.text box to start editing the content and make sure to add any relevant details or information that you want to share with your visitors.
Old Bar Classic
Our display of classic cars, beetles and bikesis held on the Saturday of the Festival.
Escape the busy crowds and explore the growing range of classics on display – from veteran to modern street machines and motorcycles. You might just find some inspiration for that project waiting in the back shed
Own a Kombi or Classic?
Registration for these events takes place on the respective day of the Festival. The fee is just $5 – you’ll get a sticker to say you were there, and go in the draw to win $1,000! There may also be some prizes from our sponsors up for grabs over the weekend!
There are two prizes – one for Kombis and one for Classics.
You must be present at the festival at the time of the draw to claim the $1,000 prize.
You must not move your vehicle between the hours of 8am and 4pm without an official escort.
