Old Bar Beach Fesitival holds the Australian record for the most Kombi/Transporter's gathered in one area at one time.
the other Kombis, looking at the different models and talking to the owners about their vehicles. We were able to stroll around and chat with many other Kombi "lovers". On Saturday we took part in the Kombi Parade into Taree and back, it was awesome! Then everyone enjoyed the BBQ, Volks Culture & Free entertainment evening at the park by the beach. It is like having a Family reunion. We also picked up some parts from the swap meet that's on over the weekend. We would recommend this as a fun thing for anyone looking for something interesting to do over the October long weekend."
2010 is the 60 Birthday bash for the KOMBI - help us have a Kombi From Each Year On Display
Each year a Kombi/Transporter Australian Record attempt is an integral part of festival celebrations and is held on the Sunday of the October Long Weekend.
Kombi/Transporter owners are also encouraged to bring along their spare parts to participate in our annual swap meet which is held in conjunction with this event.
