Manning Point is a picturesque village located on the south side of Harrington Inlet on Mitchell’s Island and is a centre for oyster production. On the way to Manning Point you pass through Oxley & Mitchell’s Islands. This area is the delta of the Manning River and is the home of oyster growing and dairy industry.

Manning point is a fisherman's paradise with both beach and river fishing,  which also offers a very large orchid nursery, cafe and gallery, two caravan parks, bowling club, general store, restaurant and teahouse. Fishing tackle, bait, fuelling and boat hire is available at the local Marina.
